At the centre of the village is the Conservation Area of Lanreath containing the Parish Church of St Marnarch, Court Barton Farm, the Village Shop, Hall, Post Office and the Punch Bowl Inn. In 1620, the Punch Bowl Inn became the very first licensed public house in the Land.

We are a united benefice which includes St.Wenna Morval and St. Martin and St. Nicholas Looe in the deanery of West Wivelshire in the diocese of Truro. WebThe church was built by the D'Aubigny family, who held the manors of Portpighan (West Looe) and Port Looe. It was a daughter church of the neighbouring parish of Talland. In 1400 a license was granted to the inhabitants of West Looe to hold services at St Nicholas' church. The church served the parish of West Looe until the Civil War.
